Membership Revoked

Why Was My FAST Membership Revoked?

If your Free And Secure Trade Membership was officially revoked, there are two likely reasons:

  • you were found to be violating the terms of your FAST membership (your card may have been confiscated if the violation was discovered while you were crossing the border) OR
  • the US Customs and Border Protection or Canada Border Agency learned of information that revealed you were never or no longer eligible for FAST membership.

If you believe either of these situations applies to you, before acting you confirm that your FAST membership was revoked, even if your card was confiscated. You can do this by contacting the FAST Program.

Have You Received a Letter Revoking Your FAST Membership?

If you have not received a letter by mail OR through the TTP website, there is some small chance that your FAST membership has not yet been revoked.  Go to your TTP account and double check to make sure there is no revocation letter in your account before you contact the FAST program about how to proceed.

I Haven’t Received a FAST Card Revocation Letter

If you have not received a letter by mail or through the TTP system stating that your Free And Secure Trade Membership has been revoked, you may still be a FAST member.

If your FAST card was confiscated, then you must contact the FAST enrolment centre closest to the border crossing where the officer confiscated your card. The office should be able to tell you whether or not suspended or revoked and, if you can get your card back, how you can do that.

If you discover that your Free And Secure Trade Membership is suspended, speak to the enrolment centre supervisor about the steps you must take to restore your full membership and resume using your card.

If you are unable to learn whether or not your FAST membership has been revoked then it likely has not been revoked and you should be free to continue to use your FAST Card until you learn otherwise (i.e. by having your card confiscated at the border or by receiving a revocation latter). Always be sure to keep all of your documentation (commercial driver’s license, passport) current on your TTP account.

I Have Received a FASt Card Revocation Letter

If you received a revocation letter – either in the mail or through the TTP portal – then you have proof your FAST membership has been revoked.
